capacitacion en lineaEn la actualidad, dentro del mundo de las PyMEs, podemos observar diversas posturas en torno a la capacitación, que dan cuenta a la vez de la evolución de dichas empresas en cuanto a su aprendizaje: hay empresas que comienzan a contemplar la posibilidad de realizar una capacitación con modalidad online, hay PyMEs que están realizando esta clase de capacitaciones y, por último, están las empresas que realizan continuamente, y ya desde hace un tiempo, capacitaciones de este tipo.  
La capacitación online (esto es, a través de plataformas de enseñanza-aprendizaje online) no sólo ha mantenido las viejas ventajas, sino que además las ha ampliado conforme ha ido evolucionando en el tiempo.
Si en un principio la flexibilidad temporal, la ausencia de barreras geográficas y la autonomía del estudiante fueron los principales argumentos persuasivos para introducirse en esta clase de modalidad, hoy en día se han agregado otros que incluso van más allá de la temática de la capacitación que se esté realizando.
Las primeras ventajas tienen que ver con cualquier forma de aprendizaje a distancia, sea por correo tradicional, e-Learning o aprendizaje online, el otro grupo de ventajas en cambio es el valor agregado de un selecto grupo de capacitaciones que no sólo considera el contenido, sino que apuesta por el aprendizaje social de sus participantes y por la gestión de conocimiento que se construye entre todos.
En esta clase de capacitaciones, la plataforma contemplará la existencia de:
Comunidad educativa
– Un tutor/a o coach: este será el encargado de orientar a los miembros de la comunidad educativa en cuanto a la metodología de trabajo online. Además será quien dinamice el debate y/o genere nuevas líneas de intercambio entre todos.
– Un profesor/a: será el referente en cuanto a los contenidos de cada módulo.
–  Estudiantes: serán quienes no sólo estarán dispuestos a aprender, sino a participar activamente y construir conocimiento a lo largo del trayecto de enseñanza-aprendizaje.
Contenidos
–  Contenidos de cada módulo desarrollados de antemano por cada profesor
–  Contenidos relacionados con la metodología de enseñanza-aprendizaje online: reglas de participación, objetivos, enfoque de la metodología de la capacitación, estrategias de dinamización de grupos.
Es aquí en donde se observa la evolución del aprendizaje y las grandes diferencias entre las capacitaciones online que sólo ofrecen las ventajas de toda capacitación a distancia y que mencionábamos arriba, y las que apuestan por un modelo de aprendizaje basado en la vida real y que va más allá del período que lleve esa capacitación.

Estas últimas son capaces de hacer que quienes participen de la misma desarrollen competencias que tienen que ver con la forma misma de aprender a aprender, tanto en el mundo online como en el offline. Esta modalidad de capacitación implica que las competencias son la suma de conocimiento + habilidades + actitudes.
En un aprendizaje que tiende a la personalización, uno de los desafíos de la capacitación online estriba en apostar por comunidades de aprendizaje que vayan más allá del tiempo que dure una capacitación específica, se trata de encaminarnos hacia un aprendizaje continuo, en red.
En donde lo importante son los nodos que conforman la red. El desafío de la capacitación online es conectar esos nodos para que se generen verdaderas redes. Hoy en día hablar de grupos es poco: hablamos de redes, hablamos de comunidades.
Entonces, las ventajas de realizar una capacitación online hoy en día pasan por la flexibilidad temporal-espacial, por el ahorro de tiempo al no exigir un desplazamiento hacia un sitio específico, la posibilidad de tener mayor autonomía y poder conocer profesionales de todo el mundo. Pero más que nada, las ventajas de realizar una capacitación online pasan por aprender a aprender en un entorno online, en el que no sólo nos desempeñamos cuando hacemos la capacitación, sino todo el tiempo en nuestra vida personal o profesional.
Una vez que nos insertamos en una comunidad educativa online con las características mencionadas anteriormente, aprendemos el valor de lo intangible, aprendemos a debatir en comunidades virtuales con objetivos concretos y participantes de todo el mundo, aprendemos a establecer contactos concretos utilizando herramientas digitales en tiempo real (Chat, videoconferencia, mensajería instantánea). Aprendemos a generar conocimiento en una comunidad de práctica. Aprendemos a desarrollar habilidades de liderazgo, a comunicarnos en un entorno y con herramientas que difieren de las usadas cara a cara. Y todo ese acervo va más allá de la capacitación, se transforma en un valor agregado que nos acompaña a partir de ese momento y para siempre.
El mayor desafío de la capacitación online es transformar esa capacitación en una comunidad de aprendizaje continuo, fomentando que la propia capacitación vaya tomando forma en función de las demandas y necesidades de sus integrantes.
De lo contrario, tal y como la educación presencial tradicional ha sido muchas veces esclava de las paredes de sus aulas, la capacitación online será esclava de las ciberparedes de la plataforma elegida, aun cuando ya el contenido no sea el factor principal.
