Uno de los presupuestos más castigados en las empresas, lamentablemente es el de capacitación, porque los directivos lo consideran un gasto, cuando en realidad es una de las mejores inversiones para la empresa.
Invertir en el desarrollo de las personas y de sus habilidades para el trabajo, redunda en grandes beneficios para la empresa cuando se ha realizado un buen diagnóstico de necesidades de capacitación y se diseña un programa que realmente cubre los objetivos de cada área y puesto. También es importante contar con un excelente proveedor de capacitación, que garantice lograr resultados en el corto plazo.
Si bien es cierto que la capacitación no es la solución a los problemas de las empresas, sí es gran parte de ella. Un empelado capacitado de forma adecuada estará más orientado a resultados y motivado para cumplirlos. Cuando la empresa no los capacita, el trabajador se sabe no considerado como valioso y en consecuencia, pierde compromiso con los objetivos. Invierta en ellos; tendrá grandes rendimientos.
Como toda inversión, debe estar muy bien planeada. Si una empresa necesita aumentar sus ventas, probablemente no ha invertido en la capacitación y actualización de algunos de sus departamentos: planeación, producción, distribución, mercadotecnia, por ejemplo. El tema de ventas no sólo es de los vendedores, es asunto de casi todos los departamentos. Si usted, pretendiendo “gastar” poco, sólo contrata cursos de ventas, con seguridad no obtendrá resultados. Vale la pena invertir en un buen diagnóstico de necesidades de capacitación, para invertir en los programas que mejor respondan a esas necesidades. Busque un experto que le ayude a definir qué necesitan sus empleados y busque expertos que impartan los programas garantizando resultados.
La capacitación se planea para que rinda frutos en las metas empresariales. Y es muy importante destacar que un curso, por sí mismo y aislado, no es la solución a todo. Es parte de la solución. También debe revisar si el clima laboral es el adecuado, si todos sus empleados saben cuáles son los objetivos a alcanzar y en cuánto tiempo y sobre todo, cómo cada uno de ellos, contribuye para lograrlos. No se trata de sólo dar cursos; se trata de una solución integral que los expertos le pueden ayudar a definir. Pueden diseñar un programa de talleres y cursos breves, que en conjunto, serán una de las mejores inversiones que usted ha realizado.
Considere el presupuesto de capacitación con tanta importancia como el de ventas. En poco tiempo, usted se dará cuenta que el primero, contribuyó en gran medida para el otro y todos los demás. Seleccione a sus proveedores de capacitación con tanto cuidado y esmero, como elige a sus proveedores de materia prima. El retorno de inversión de todo lo que haga por sus empleados, lo sorprenderá.
