Inversión con un bróker online


Aunque hace apenas unos años el acceso a los mercados financieros únicamente era posible a través de bancos o instituciones financieras, hoy tan sólo es necesario disponer de un dispositivo conectado a la red y una buena conexión a internet pues los avances tecnológicos ofrecen muchas posibilidades a la hora de invertir en los mercados, como por ejemplo la inversión a través del trading online. Decimos tan solo ya que por supuesto los conocimientos y la formación se necesitan por descontado en este mundo de la inversión online.

Por supuesto también es posible participar de los mercados a través de la inversión clásica por medio de la compraventa de títulos en los  parqués de toda la vida pero en este artículo vamos  a centrarnos en la especulación a través de un bróker online, obviamente las dos formas de inversión difieren la una de la otra y el trading online no está ni mucho menos exento de riesgos, ya que se opera con apalancamiento, que puede dar lugar a importantes y veloces pérdidas para el trader, con más razón si el nivel de apalancamiento utilizado y la volatilidad son altas, por lo que operar con un bróker que ofrezca protección contra saldos negativos puede ser muy recomendable para asegurarse de no acabar endeudado. De hecho una mala decisión o un deficiente conocimiento de los mercados pueden hacer perder mucho dinero al inversor y/o trader. Aunque es de justicia señalar que el apalancamiento por otra parte también puede proporcionar mayores beneficios al trader experimentado, aunque asumiendo siempre los riesgos.

Aspectos a considerar al elegir un bróker

Por ello es necesario encontrar un bróker de confianza y que se atenga a una buena regulación, a través de un bróker online el trader accederá a operar con una amplia gama de instrumentos financieros tales como acciones, divisas, materias primas, índices bursátiles, metales preciosos, etc.

Al elegir un bróker online se estará operando mediante un creador de mercado –donde el trader y el bróker son la contraparte el uno del otro- en donde no se comprarán ni venderán acciones, criptomonedas, divisas o el activo con que se opere sino que se tratará de hacer una correcta predicción de la tendencia que seguirá el mercado usando los movimientos de los precios de los activos para operar. Establecer una estrategia de trading y practicar con una cuenta demo durante un tiempo para entender el funcionamiento del mercado es uno de los aspectos más interesantes a tener en cuenta, por lo que a la hora de escoger un bróker uno de los puntos a favor será que ofrezca esta opción, ya que a la vez que se puede practicar se aprende a interpretar los gráficos y a entender cómo afectan los acontecimientos internacionales a dicho mercado, además de aprender a desarrollar el análisis fundamental y el análisis técnico.

Tener en cuenta el gasto en comisiones

Obviamente, también debe valorarse el gasto que supondrán las comisiones del bróker. Dichas comisiones son lo que el bróker cobra por sus servicios y aunque varían entre los distintos brókeres el avance de la tecnología ha provocado que éste sea un campo muy competitivo por lo que es posible encontrar tarifas muy bajas.

Uno de estos gastos es el spread, que se refiere a la diferencia entre el precio máximo de compra y el precio mínimo de venta –entre el bid y el ask– de un activo financiero. Es importante tenerlo en cuenta porque influye en el coste de las operaciones ya que cuanto mayor sea la diferencia entre el bid y el ask el activo tendrá mayor coste y riesgo y menor liquidez. Los brókeres habitualmente aplican un margen a cuenta del inversor y es por ello que los spread son variables ya que suponen una “comisión implícita”, aunque son numerosos los bróker sin spread o spread cero lo cual supone un ahorro importante en comisiones, aunque puede haber otras que el trader también debe tomar en consideración.

En los mercados financieros los activos más líquidos son las divisas y precisamente por su gran liquidez tienen spread más bajos –aunque puede haber diferencias dependiendo del par que se esté negociando ya que los pares exóticos son menos líquidos y tienen spreads más altos- por ejemplo en general el spread más bajo lo suele tener el par EUR/USD por ser el más negociado. Por otra parte también es importante señalar que el Forex es un mercado altamente volátil, lo que lo hace más arriesgado.

Elegir el instrumento más adecuado

La mayoría de brókeres ofrecen varios instrumentos para operar, pero no todos los traders tienen por qué estar especializados en todos los instrumentos, ni mucho menos. Los instrumentos más utilizados últimamente para captar clientes son las criptomonedas, debido a las subidas de bitcoin y compañía, pero dependiendo de la actualidad financiera se puede ver más publicidad de oro, acciones… lo importante es seleccionar aquel  en el que el trader tenga mayores conocimientos, ya que las posiciones abiertas deben tratar de predecir las tendencias del instrumento. Una vez se haya elegido bróker e instrumento ya se puede empezar a practicar con una cuenta demo para aprender a operar de forma práctica.
