Debido a que las madres modernas se han incorporado al campo laboral para desarrollarse profesionalmente o contribuir en el gasto familiar, hoy por hoy, la demanda de lugares especializados en el cuidado infantil ha crecido exponencialmente, generando una importante oportunidad de negocio para ti que estás interesado en abrir una guardería.
Aunque es amplio el mercado y sus opciones, te recomendamos que antes de invertir en una empresa de este tipo realices un Plan de Negocios mediante el cual puedas analizar cuán viable será.
Esta herramienta de estudio se conforma por los siguientes aspectos:
1. Investigación de mercado. Permite conocer las necesidades de la gente a quien deseas atender, sus hábitos de consumo y la competencia, con los cuales será posible analizar cuán factible es abrir la guardería.
Esta herramienta de estudio considera los siguientes factores:
■ Análisis de la oferta: Identifica cuántos negocios similares al tuyo existen en la zona, así como las características que poseen.
■ Análisis de la demanda: Identifica quienes son tus clientes potenciales para determinar qué servicios debes ofrecer.
2. Ubicación e instalaciones. Es importante que el espacio físico para instalar la guardería se ubique cerca de calles y avenidas muy transitadas, y cuente con estacionamiento o bien, un espacio adecuado para la recepción y entrega de los niños.
Al acondicionar tu local, debes basarte en la Norma Oficial Mexicana NOM-167-SSA1-1997, referida a la prestación de servicios de asistencia social para menores y adultos mayores. En ella encontrarás los requisitos mínimos de instalaciones y equipamiento para ofrecer el servicio de guardería.
Para la seguridad absoluta de los menores, se recomienda que las instalaciones estén diseñadas en una sola planta, con habitaciones bien iluminadas que puedan habilitarse como aulas; además de contar con áreas verdes donde puedan adaptarse juegos infantiles.
Es fundamental llevar a cabo las adecuaciones necesarias para ubicar áreas de seguridad, como barandales en escaleras y ventanales, cerraduras de seguridad en la puerta principal, servicios sanitarios adecuados, zona de cocina, área de juegos, recepción y enfermería.
3. Equipo. Separa a los niños en grupos de acuerdo a su edad y necesidades específicas, para acondicionar los salones con el mobiliario y los elementos necesarios para su formación y cuidado.
Para salones exclusivos de bebés tendrás que incluir colchonetas, cunas, porta bebés, sillas, cobertores, cambiadores, mesas y juegos didácticos. También es necesario adquirir un unificador de ambiente.
Si cuentas con servicio de jardín de niños, debes contar con mesas, sillas, pizarrones, material didáctico y juegos adicionales. En cada salón se siguiere tener una radio grabadora, televisión, reproductor de DVD y discos de video y audio con material apropiado para los menores.
Resulta ideal tener en la entrada principal y en cada salón una cámara de circuito cerrado que permita la vigilancia constante de los niños, al igual que un interfón para elevar las medidas de seguridad.
Te recomendamos elegir equipos fabricados a base de fibra de vidrio o plástico rígido sobre lámina para áreas de recreación, como columpios y resbaladillas, ya que son más seguros para su utilización.
La cocina deberá estar equipada con uno o más hornos de microondas, una estufa, esterilizadores de biberones y, como mínimo, un refrigerador, según el número de niños que atienda el negocio.
Para habilitar la recepción se sugiere tener dos o tres sillones para comodidad de los padres.
En las oficinas debes contar con un espacio privado donde puedas tener una computadora, un fax y dos líneas telefónicas.
Existe reglamentación por parte del IMSS que establece los requisitos mínimos de equipamiento e instalaciones que una guardería debe tener. Te recomendamos consultarlo y llevar a cabo su aplicación, aunque no estés afiliado como guardería integradora.
4. Prestación del servicio. Instalar una guardería es un gran compromiso. Debes estar consciente de que en tus manos está la vida e integridad física de los niños bajo tu resguardo, por eso tus operaciones deben ser seguras, saludables y soportadas bajo prácticas pedagógicas que contribuyan al crecimiento, formación e integración de los niños.
Una vez instalada la guardería debes elaborar el registro de los menores que tienes bajo tu cuidado, incorporando datos fidedignos de sus padres o familiares a quien acudir en caso de emergencia, al igual que información sobre cuidados especiales, salud o dietas particulares. Así realizarás un plan de atención que te permita contar con recursos necesarios para atenderlos adecuadamente.
La preparación de alimentos es un factor clave, por lo que deberás llevar a cabo un manejo adecuado de productos perecederos. Los alimentos deben prepararse para ser consumidos al momento, evitando su degradación y eliminando largo periodos de refrigeración.
Debes contar con un nutriólogo que elabore un programa de nutrición basado en la Norma Oficial Mexicana NOM-008-SSA2-1993, que se refiere al control de nutrición, crecimiento y desarrollo del niño y el adolescente.
Asegúrate que el área de cocina este perfectamente limpia y desinfectada. La sanidad en este lugar y el personal responsable son muy importantes para la salud de los menores.
Respecto a las medidas de seguridad, es recomendable asignar a una persona en los puntos críticos de ingreso, estancia y salida de las instalaciones, para que estén pendientes de la recepción, vigilancia y entrega de los pequeños.
Las guarderías deben contar con medidas de seguridad generales, como simulacros de evacuación, áreas al aire libre cercadas, salidas de emergencia y señalamientos. Asimismo, debes aplicar medidas de seguridad interna como tomacorrientes protegidos, puertas de baños y closets con seguros de deshabilitación a exterior, entre otras.
Realiza una bitácora de las actividades que los niños llevan a cabo, así como de su comportamiento y repórtaselo a los padres, para que sepan a detalle qué actividades realizan sus hijos.
En cuanto al modelo de formación que aplicarás, puedes basarte en el Programa de Educación Inicial (PEI) desarrollado por la SEP, que incorpora una estrategia de estimulación temprana, entre otros aspectos.
Ejecuta un plan de mantenimiento que garantice las buenas condiciones del mobiliario y materiales a disposición de los pequeños. Cumple con los requisitos de seguridad y cuidado previamente establecidos en la Norma Oficial Mexicana NOM-167-SSA1-1997.
Un paso importante para evitar posibles demandas o problemas legales con los padres o tutores es informarles de forma documentada políticas y procedimientos a seguir en situaciones especiales y de emergencia.
5. Personal. Tus empleados deben contar con la formación adecuada, comprobada y avalada, que te asegure a ti y a los padres de familia, la seguridad de los niños, por lo que no debes escatimar en esfuerzos ni recursos al hacer las contrataciones.
El personal idóneo de una guardería incluye: puericultores, educadoras, asistentes en el cuidado directo de los niños, así como personal de apoyo (enfermera, nutriólogo, trabajador social, psicólogo, pediatra, etc.) especializados en el sano desarrollo infantil.
Los trabajadores deben contar con documentos oficiales que avalen sus conocimientos.
6. Proveedores. Contar con proveedores confiables es un aspecto crucial, por lo que debes llevar a cabo una evaluación de los mismos.
En primer lugar, debes disponer de un proveedor de alimentos como leche, frutas, verduras y otros perecederos. Éste debe asegurarte la entrega diaria de productos frescos, de buena calidad. También requieres los servicios de una farmacia que obtener material de primeros auxilios.
El mobiliario en las guarderías debe cumplir ciertas normas establecidas en el manual de Requisitos Arquitectónicos y Equipamiento del IMSS, es por ello que debes buscar un proveedor que te facilite mobiliario apegado a lo dicho en el documento citado.
7. Imagen corporativa. Elige elementos asociados directamente con los niños para que la gente te ubique y generes un mayor impacto.
Es importante que la fachada del lugar esté perfectamente identificada. Selecciona colores acordes con este giro, como tonos pastel y sus combinaciones, acompañados por una imagen representativa o evocadora de niños.
Busca un nombre original, diseña un logotipo y anúnciate en revistas, diarios o publicaciones locales.
Considera que en el caso de las guarderías, la mejor promoción es mediante recomendaciones de padres que ya han contratado el servicio.
8. Innovación. Una vez que te hayas posicionado en el mercado, busca alternativas de mejora y mantenimiento para seguir siendo competitivo. Algunas recomendaciones son: expandir tus servicios a otras zonas bajo el modelo de franquicia, ofrecer servicios de guardería express, mediante los cuales basta llamar por teléfono al establecimiento para atender al menor durante unas horas, sin pagar mensualidad, ni inscripción.
9. Marco legal. Para cumplir adecuadamente con todos los aspectos legales y de funcionamiento en tu guardería, la sugerencia es acudir al sistema local de apertura rápida de empresas, donde obtendrás toda la información para abrir tu negocio.
